Why have decent customer service?. My wife and I went here in September to browse and see if they had any apple cider donuts. Looking around we didn’t see any so we asked the staff if they were expecting to make any at some point. The answer we got was a mix of the woman being crabby at her job (and life?), and her complaining about the cost of making apple cider donuts. She must not realize that every respectable bakery makes apple cider donuts in the fall. Also since my wife and I are from Wisconsin we are used to real customer service and food that actually has taste, two things that are in extremely short supply in the northeast. In addition, what kind of bakery is not open on a Sunday?? That’s like a bar not being open Friday and Saturday nights. Clearly this place should be on the way out but is only in business because there is no other bakery nearby. I’m going to Mojomonkey in Saint Paul…because today is Sunday…a day many working people with money don’t work and are going places with their families to buy things. Terrible terrible place…avoid at all costs.
Sarah Jane’s Bakery. After the demise of several other bakeries in the Minneapolis area over the past decade. Sarah Jane’s still stands out as the best and most freindley bakery in the area. I was there a few weeks ago they said that they had an unexpected run on the donuts. so they had fresh ones just coming out of the kitchen. My customers were impressed. Its the little things that make this a great place to go.. If you need Treats for customers of just to be nice at work. Check out Sarah Jane’s in NE Mpls You can’t go wrong

Old school bakery. Nothing creative or original. If you’re looking for brownies or sugar cookies like they had in the 70s, this is the place. If you want something more original or creative go elsewhere.
I Love Sarah Jane’s. I grew up just a couple blocks away from the Bakery. Every day I walked to NE Middle school i would stop in and get my glazed cake dounut (the best by far) and a snoopy bar for lunch. Over the years my family bought breads, dounuts, bars and cookies. And always the same as I remembered it when I was a kid. Thanks to Sarah for loving the sweetness of the NE neighborhood.
Old Fashions. The old fashion donuts made with tons of love only on Fridays are the best! YUM!
