Revamped, and Worth a Try. The bar’s make-over is nicely done. Outdoor patio is a treat in the summertime. It is in Nord’east, so it is a popular place for bar-hoppers. Food was good and staff was pleasant.
Live and Learn. I’ve been on a Turkey Burger kick and was so excited to see a Turkey Burger on this late night menu! However I was beyond disappointed. I felt like I was eating a card board hockey puck. I also ordered the soup which was equally if not worse then the burger. There is something always off about this pub…
Hit or miss. Food and beer selection are both great but service can be terrible.
I am a big fan and impressed with Stanleys. I don’t often right reviews not do I normally go out to a bar type of place. They impressed me for the sole reason that their service has always been beyond excellent on the many occasions that I have been there.now besides that im always happy with the food I order and I love the many selections for beer that they are more then happy and quickly will get you atmosphere everything will keep me coming back for more.great place love it
So much promise gone wrong. Ok- nordeasters are unique-we do expect solid food, great beverages and service (ok not so unique with expectations)stanley’s is what i hate about the burbs right in my neighborhood- cheesy promos, soul-less mostly frozen food and staff pushed beyond what they can manage based on some formula-hard to believe this place started with great music, a real chef and happy people. won’t be back; its sad
Cheese Burger & Veggie Burger. So my boyfriend and I live close by and decided to wait awhile before trying this place out to give it time to work out any bugs, fine tune menu etc….We didn’t wait long enough I guess. We went at noon on a Saturday, hardley anyone there giving the kitchen plenty of time to do it right. My burger was completely raw but charred on the outside sent it back. When I got it back it looked cooked but I took a few bites and still disappointed. My boyfriend had the veggie burger which totally fell apart right away and he ended up eating it with a fork! Really?!To top it off both of us got super sick that night which the only thing we could think of for the cause was Stanley’s.I’ve lived in NE for quite a few years and was really hoping this place wasn’t going to be another Sarna’s, They have a great beer selection, just sad the menu doesn’t match. If you want a good burger I would go to the Anchor instead.
Hmmm. We have been there nice. Everyone was pleasant, the food was okay, but nothign to get really excited about. The game was a bit loud on the TV. I was hoping this was not another sports bar, but it is. The hamburger was good, but the sweet potato fries were over cooked and soggie. We would give it another try. Would like to try their breakfast.
