Perfect place to go hang out with locals and get a fabulous meal-crab rolls I had probable I think it’s the best salad I’ve ever had in my life french fries have a little spice -going to try the lamb sandwich next time I’m there been there three times this week I can’t get away from the place the food and the company superduper good!
The Smack Shack food at the 1029 Bar is excellent and is not your typical dive bar fare. The lobster mac n cheese is a signature item and is so yummy but glad I was sharing because it’s almost too rich to eat it all by yourself. The shrimp Po’ Boy was also very good. It’s a place you have to check out! Prices seem high for a dive bar but it’s well worth it.
Pleasant surprise in an unpleasant bar. The food served in this bar is several notches above what the the building and decor look like. While the lobster-based items are prepared well, the best item on the menu is the lamb sandwich. After two bits, it was clear to me it was a dish which involved a good amount of thought and practiced execution. Don’t overlook it.
