Ok, so I am about to review the Helicopter Burger at a fish and chips place; who does such a thing? I have eaten at Anchor fish and chips three times and every time I go, I plan to order the hand battered fish and chips. But each time I order the Helicopter Burger and fries instead. Why? Because it is so delicious. I do not normally order my burger with a slice of ham plus an egg on it, but here at Anchor you have to do it. The burger is juicy and messy. Make sure you let the chef cook the egg so the yoke runs all over the burger patty. That first bite is a killer. The Helicopter Burger is one of the Twin Cities best burgers. Next time I will get the fish and chips…maybe.

I could not love this place more!! Perfect family run restaurant with fantastic food! I would travel across the country for the Helicopter Burger! Though it’s not very large, it’s SO worth the wait to eat at! I atmosphere fits well with the food and service! Friendly, fun & real! Never miss an opportunity to eat here even though we live over 40 mins away!

A little greasy, but what can one expect from a fish and chip joint? The Poutine was really good as well as the traditional fish and chips. Worth a try 🙂

Visited 2 years ago and loved it. Fish fresh and battered perfectly. Beer was great and service very friendly and quick. Nice ambiance too.

Do like grease?. Then order their fish n chips. Which they usually place in a plastic basket on top of their french fries so all that wonderous oil can turn them into limp greasy potato twigs. Don’t ask for malt vinegar. When I did, the waitress acted like she was insulted and said she never heard of the stuff. The tartar sauce surely came out a one gallon plastic jar bought in the commerial foods section at Cub. All of this enjoyment can be yours at a crowded little dive that is bearly larger than my kitchen and would hard pressed seating a group of five.

Just ok to me. Fish was good not great they charge you for tarter sauce, is 50cents gonna make you go out of bus? prob not! it should be free! I had fish and chips they sell those too chips(French fries) not together I thought it was a fish and chip place it is a ala cart joint and the wait was long!! for what? like I said it was just ok!
