Horrid. Worst Mexican around. Completely bland and possibly rotten. Not to mention the carpet in the dining room (always a bad sign) reeked of mold. Just stay away, this place should just go away.
The first thing we noticed was the moldy dish rag smell on the table and menus. The second disappointment was the salsa. Not fresh at all. Reminded me of cooked tomatoes from a can. The chips were very thick and a bit over done. (Not burnt but darker than I like.) My wife got the two chicken burritos which she thought was very bland. I got the Beef Chimichanga and Cheese Enchilada. Everything on the plate tasted exactly the same. The beans literally tasted just like the rice, and the enchilada sauce tasted the same as the beans and rice??? The beef inside the Chimi was ground beef and not beef tips like I was expecting but that’s my fault for not asking. I’d have to go with two stars out of five. Sorry Azteca not a fan. ;(
Pretty standard tex-mex menu. Entrees are large portions at a good price. Salsa is a little hit and miss. When its good its good but sometimes it can taste a little like tomatoe paste. On the other hand the salsa verde is constantly good! Awesome shrimp tacos! Grilled shrimp with a variety of vegetables, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower cooked al dente all wrapped up in your choice of flour or corn tortillas. You get 4 tacos with sides for $10 or $11! Definitely worth a stop!
Very disappointing. I did not eat at their actual restaurant, but rather bought some food from their vendor stand at Thursdays on First (the weekly outdoor market here in Rochester). The rice and beans were cold, and the chicken quesadilla filling was dripping grease all over my hands (and also not very warm). I trust the food in their restaurant is of better quality, but based on this experience, I hesitate to try it, seeing there are other fantastic Mexican restaurants around.
Mmmm, We really liked it. Cheese dip, tacos & fajitas are really good.
Chips and salsa. I find this place to be bland. The decore is awful too. The food is just so-so. The chips and salsa are good though and the service is friendly.
Awful. Do not waste your time on this poor excuse for Tex-Mex…that is all I can say about that. On the other hand there was good entertainment on Cinco de Mayo.
