The Applebees of TexMex. We tend to eat here a lot. The food is consistent, service is good and the prices are reasonable. All my neighbors tend to eat here a lot too and have good experiences. It’s kinda like the old Chi-Chi’s restaurants (long gone). They serve a lot of enchiladas, burritos, fajitas in various combinations. I love food with zing, so to make it spicy, I get the atomic salsa to mix in with their house salsa. We’ve probably eaten there 30-40 times and haven’t had a bad meal yet. We also eat at Fiesta Mexicana and Dos Amigos a lot, and find that the food here at Carlos has more flavor. Their chips are hot and crispy and it’s easy to get filled up on them. It’s also an easy place to get into on a Friday night or Saturday. They are busy, but it’s usually only 5-10 minutes.

This is Minnesoooda Mexican food, even Grandma thought it was bland. We also had to ask for jalapenos for the nachos, and enough plates for everyone at the table to have some, how hard is it to count to 3… Then our salad, soup and entrees came at the same time, before we had even gotten the nachos doled out. It was ok, but we won’t be back. There are better choices for dinner in Rochester.

Bad service, had to get up and get more water, and napkins, after asking, salsa, bland! chips, stale, won’t go back….

Not especially. First time here and not liking what I see and taste. It is bland and boring. Probably will pick another Mexican restaurant in town.
