I was really looking forward to having breakfast at cheap charlies but I was disappointed when I saw the many signs against lawful firearm carry. As a law abiding citizen in support of the 2nd amendment I will choose to find another establishment which respects my rights.
If your still drunk and hungover,from the night before, than go here for breakfast! The building looks shady,and the food is greasy. The waitress christy,that works there,is the best! Very friendly and always there, to fill you coffee or water. Food is just ok…but cures the morning hangover!
Horrible. Ordered over easy eggs and recieved hard on all of our breakfast orders. Ordered medium steak and recieved well done. When my husband sent his steak back he recieved a rare piece of meat, and the environment was too hostile to complain about the borderline meat poison steak. The breakfast potatoes were cold despite being just fried, and the hollindaise sauce was thick and pasty. Our waitress was clearly disorganized and was not happy to serve us. I will not be going back.
This place is such a fun experience! It is an absolute dive, full of regulars and waitresses that have a story. The food is great- pancakes are my fav! Breakfast options arent plentiful in Rochester- this is an absolute gem!

Bio hazard. The Pancakes seem relatively safe yet the margarine substance heaped on top does not.The sausage patties are terrible.The water taste of chemicals and the coffee has got to be the worst ever brown water I have tasted.Enough about breakfast The filth ,the scent of dirty mop and rotting unused refrigeration , broken floor chunks ,the TV with the weak picture tube that is dim and magenta in hue all ads to this barely pre apocalyptic ambiance of having given up on being a decent place to eat.Alert ! Do not take your life in your hands to eat anything but breakfast here. I got a salad once .Safe choice right ? The croutons were rancid, I mean like 2 years old rancid.I had to spit them out and throw away the salad.
Greasy Spoon, Plain and Simple. This is a simple greasy spoon diner. I was not expecting any pomp and circumstance, just good food. Cheap Charlie’s delivered. The prices are low but that does not take away from the food. I had fried eggs, sausage, and potatoes. All were good. There were nothing but positives comments said about the breakfast burrito, and the BLT was a good BLT. I do not live in Rochester, but if I find myself in the area and hungry, I will not hesitate to visit Cheap Charlie’s.
