Great. Salty Carmel, and the oatmeal cookie one are Amazing!!!
Disappointing…. I have only been here twice but I was disappointed both times. The first time, the ice cream tasted ok but the cone was stale so I ended up throwing it away. The second time, the cone was ok but the ice cream wasn’t very good. Not sure I will be back for a third try.
Bleh. I got a chocolate chip cookie dough, for some reason it was intensely blue. Every time I took a bite I expected there would be something more to it, but it was really bland. The cookie dough pieces were small and not that much. After a few bites I got sick of the ice cream because it tasted like blue dye. Definitely no where near Dairy Queen or Cold Stone quality.
The best homemade ice cream!!! Yum!!! Salted Carmel was great, also sampled S’mores, peanut butter chocolate, birthday cake, mint… All delish!!! Lots to choose from… Scoops very generous.
Tasty Treats. They didn’t have quite as much variety as I had hoped, but the blueberry cheesecake ice cream was very good–creamy with rich layers of flavor. The interior is cute and service is friendly. Prices aren’t cheap, but are reasonable.
It is where my wife and kids seem to lose my paycheck… But when I get to go too, it reminds me why.
Fake and gummy. This is NOT true homemade ice cream. I can give you a 100% guarantee that this ice cream comes in the form of a bag mix (probably off the Reinhardt or Sysco truck) and has flavourings (More than likely from the same wholesaler) added to it, that were NOT made in that store.Flapdoodles does not have a big enough function kitchen space to carry out the proper production of true homemade artisan ice cream. They Churn the ice cream in house, and add flavourings to the ice cream. Thats it.The texture and the mouth feel of the item is honestly, gummy. With the stabilizers of Mono and Di glycerides with the added xanthan/guar gum creates gummy-ness within the ice cream.I did not, and do not enjoy this place. It may be the owners dream, and I don’t want to be a dream crusher. But don’t advertise homemade ice cream especially if you’re using a bag mix.Rochester still needs to have an ARTISAN ICE CREAM shop, The only place in Rochester that has artisan ice cream available for purchase is Zzest, and you get what you pay for.
