The only Chinese resturant to go to in Rochester!. All the others all taste the same,but Hunan Garden is the best Chinese in town.A must stop when we come to the Mayo.
Good Chinese if you want a bit nicer. We like China Star better for flavor, but Hunan Garden is our second favorite, and is a better place if you want to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
Food is good. Lots of onions in the cashew chicken. Good shrimp sizzling rice soup. Could use a few more staff.
Best Chinese in Rochester. I have been a loyal customer at Hunan Garden for many years. The wait staff is always pleasant and personable. The food is always great. I have never had a bad meal there. The prices are very affordable and you can typically have a take out box with leftovers to take home for another meal! Love the shrimp or scallop and steak sizzling, it is one of the best things on the menu! Love, love, love it!
Best lunch deal around.. Family lunch for 7.25 a person is hard to beat. They give you soup, a huge egg roll and enough entree for 2-3 meals. Service has been great. I’ve been coming here for almost 2 decades now and loved it ever since.
Happy Face. I have two kids who are adopted from China, one of them, 11, who came home last December. We’ve had a challenge feeding him this past year, especially the first few months. Back in April we took him to Hunan Garden. We got one happy face from this kid after he tasted the Spicy and Sour Soup! He also dug into the rest of the entrees we ordered with great delight. So HG’s offerings are authentically Chinese enough to please him and American-style enough for the rest of us. We consider this place a favorite.
This place has been one of my family’s favorites for a long time and is consistently good every time! It’s probably one of our favorite spots to eat in town and the food never disappoints. Every time we try a different Chinese place we always come back here because they are simply the best. The staff is friendly and hard working. I definitely reccomend it!
