Yum…plus let’s face it…there is no other Indian restaurant!. I love this place! The atmosphere is a bit cheesy, but the service is ALWAYS fantastic and the food has never failed me. My husband and I are both vegetarian and have tried a majority of the vegetarian dishes. Their samosas are some of the best I’ve ever had. My favorite dish is the malai kofta. My only complaint is that their peshwari and garlic naan (naans?) were a little boring compared to others I’ve had elsewhere. Try it out.
Bad. Chicken was borderline inedible, terribly dry, go for the buffet only!
Fairly authentic Indian food. Super yummy food. Great buffet. If u Can only do one Indian restaurant this is the place to go. Negative, they do NOT refill soda- don’t get it! Soda is cheap. Can’t wait to visit Rochester again to enjoy this restaurant…
The food is mediocre and extremely over priced. Service also sucks! The guy would not even give me chutney. I’m Indian and don’t really think the food is authentic. The inside and outside of the restaurant looks like it has not been remodeled since the 70s; but its Rochester, can’t really expect much when it comes to dining.
Love This Place. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Rochester. The buffet has a lot of variety including many vegetarian dishes. The wait staff is friendly and come around to refill glasses and clear plates often.
Authentic American Indian Food. IG is a great American Indian Food spot – – not authentic, no. I’m sure if you’ve been to India, or to fine Indian Food restaurant in New York like Tabla, this won’t compare. But much like most Rochester ethnic food restaurants, and most Indian restaurants in the country, its not supposed to be. If you can get past that – its delicious. Great samosa’s, pakora, chicken tikka masala, benghen bharta, onion kulcha, etc. And unlike Curry House, you don’t wait forever in an utter morass.
Not authentic. I completely agree with Rochester Foodie’s review.
