Great food GREAT Service. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rochester. It’s one of the best kept secrets as it is tucked away inside the Kahler Grand Hotel. The food is so good but my favorite is the wait staff. They are all courteous and helpful. I always request one waiter named Steve. He makes going out for dinner fun and special. When my family comes to visit they always ask to go to The Lord Essex for dinner and they even request Steve. He knows the menu so well and his recommendations are always spot on. I love the Duchess soup it is my favorite.
