Excellent burgers!!!. I’m not sure why there a few bad reviews, my experiences with Newts Express have always been excellent. Always quick hot burgers that are delicious. I Recently discovered them after starting a new job downtown. The skyway/subway access is great. Short walk for good food fast, can’t beat it for lunch.
Will not go back!. My first experience was horrible. I ordered the chicken sandwich and didn’t expect to get one out of hot water. It was dry and had no flavor. As I was finishing up I was rudely kicked out by a long blonde hair girl flicking the lights while staring at me. As I got up to leave I was given the cold shoulder and when I exited I heard loud laughs from the three who where working. I work in the service industry and would be fired if I displayed such rude behavior.
Dry burger. I ordered an onion blue burger…onion straws on one side of the burger, and blue cheese on the other side. The bun was large, and rather dry. The burger was for the most part flavorless, and for half of the burger, I couldn’t even taste the blue cheese. They do offer ketchup,mustard, pickles, and onions for condiments once you get to the dining area, but nothing that would have added to the flavor of a blue cheese burger, or made it any less dry. The fries, though were hot, fresh, and crisp, and they did have a great flavor to them.
Not to bad. When i heard newt’s had an express, i wanted to try it. A quicker and cheaper alternative to the actual restaurant a block or so down the street.the menu is simple and good, you order your burger at the desk and they give you a poker chip to show the people in the kitchen. and they get you your food real quick.Its not as good as the actual restaurant, but still worth going to if you find your self in the U of M – Galleria Mall area of down town.still hungry, go to the gelato place on the second floor of the mall.
