Food is good – best seafood in town, which isn’t saying much- but overpriced. Service had been dreadfully slow the past few times I’ve gone (for work dinners), even when I tell them we are in a rush. Love the spicy calamari. Great breakfast buffet and a la carte options. Crab cake Benedict is my fave.
This place is I think generally considered one of the nicer restaurants in Rochester. But I think really overrated. I’m not a big fan. Focus is on fish but I don’t think they do it well. Quite mediocre. And very expensive. The atmosphere is decent but still has the feel of a hotel restaurant, which is not surprising since it’s located on the 2nd floor of the Doubletree Hotel.
The way this restaurant ruined a beautiful fish should be a crime !!! I ordered the Bronzino. Fish was overlooked and skin so crispy it felt like I was choking on bones. If you know and love fish you’ll hate it…if you’re not really into it you’ll like the variety
Anniversary Supper. We just had our anniversary supper meal with Pescara. I would like to say the the beer was great, the children’s meal was great, but both my wife’s & my meal were not so great. The Risotto was awesome, spinach not so much. Sea Bass not great, my wife’s fish not so great. Really do not think it was worth the price except for the service and the taking care of our child. Something is to be said for that!!Don’t think it was worth the price.
Classiest Spot in Roch. Having moved from the Twin Cities where tasty food and stellar service abound on every block, Rochester severely misses the mark as a whole. Since living in Rochester a year and a half, we have suffered through many meals with rude and snotty servers barely attending to our needs, BUT then we ventured to Pescara. FINALLY a restaurant that gets it all. The food, servers, and atmosphere were all top-notch and left us begging for more. We hope that other restaurants of Roch will step up and follow suit. Thank you, Pescara. We will be back as often as our meager budget allows.
Excellent choice for the highest quality good. Nice ambience, good service. Eat here again, YES.
False & Misinformation. My Beautiful Girl friend and I both Rochester Natives that have traveled and lived all over the country. We find it very discouraging that the only Restaurant with anything raw on the menu has resorted to telling stories about Red tides and contamination of West coast waters? We have been in three times in 6 weeks to get a different yet false story on why the Chef wont buy Fresh Quality oysters from the west coast. Instead pass off cultured pasteurized oyster from Hyvee seafood dept. So much for two west two east coast choice? The Waiter in the most arrogant of tones drones on as an expert of tides and conditions that have been either imagined , created or otherwise flat out lies. Sad this is the best our town has to offer!
