  Standard experience – nothing over the top or astounding, good or bad. Except – the horseradish! I had the prime rib and the horseradish was actual chopped horseradish! and potent! It was awesome!

  Best service in Rochester and best value! Can’t get any better than fresh hand cut steaks! YUM! #1 place for dinner! Can’t wait to go back!

  The steak was delightful tonight. And the server was on top of her game. The drinks kept coming. She was even smart enough to ask prior to bringing my kiddos more drinks.

  Bland …and inconsistent. Thought we would give it a try… there wont be a next time. Ordered our beverages mine was a Sprite… Flat and had more ice than anything. Were served some nice looking dinner rolls, however was accompanied by some nasty flavored butter concoction. Then ordered a Caesar salad, was tasteless and watery. Our lunch finally arrived and with more disappointments. I ordered a sirloin (supposed to be cut in house) meant to be medium. but got a med-rare bloody chewtoy. There was little in the way of seasoning and little flavor besides the gas grill it was cooked on. I also ordered steak fries, that were soggy and bloody from the steak. I also ordered a side of grilled shrimp but alas no seasoning so very tasteless. My wife ordered Chicken Critters (chicken strips) Those weren’t any better batter was too think and was doughy. Her side of green beans were either over cooked or from yesterday as they were barely green and very mushy topped with some un-edible bacon bits. She also got some soupy mashed potatoes (more like lumpy soup). Our server was mediocre, did little to fix anything and Best part of our meal was getting our check and leaving…Will never be back to this location. I hoped it would be better than it was 🙁

  Poor server. Ate there two weeks ago 2nd time i ate there.the waitress was good to my boyfriendand his friend But Rude and snotty to me.then i called and come plain oh they were going to send me a free meal.thats good never got it.they should fire that waitress

  Love this chain, but this location has been inconsistent. I was a loyal customer of the Texas Roadhouse in St Cloud, and was incredibly excited to see that one was opening in Rochester when I moved here last year. My two experiences there since then have been night and day. My first matched my expectations and even exceeded them from my previous experiences with this chain. The food and service were both phenomenal. I always get a steak here and usually it’s the 8oz. sirloin. I haven’t had better at any other restaurant, including some much pricier places! The next time I went was a slight disappointment, but only in the food. The staff was still their chipper selves, but my steak wasn’t nearly up to par with the way it had been. In particular, it just seemed like a bad cut of meat, with too much gristle and a lot smaller than I was use to there for ordering the same size. Being the Minnesota nice person I am, I didn’t complain, but looking back I definitely should have at least to let them know that something was wrong. I really hope my next experience is good, because I’d hate to lose my favorite restaurant!

  This is the only Texas Roadhouse I have ever given a doesn’t like rating. The well seasoned medium steak was very well done with no seasoning at all the ribs were burnt and the steamed vegetables were raw. Every one I’ve been to elsewhere has been excellent – but not here! And no the waitress never bothered to ask how anything was – that’s ok because I won’t ask her if she likes her tip either.
