No fancy dining here, just down right good, fresh food. An excellent value for the size of plates and authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. I took my dad here, who travels extensively around the world and he couldn’t get enough. Definitely coming back for seconds and thirds.
EXCELLENT!!!. I have been waiting for an Afghan place to come up for quite some time and it is finally here! Yes there are a couple of of other fine Afghan establishments in the twin cities, but there’s always room for more.My main course was the marinated lamb kabob with the Afghani rice option as the side. The lamb was marinated to perfection and very tender. The rice was to die for. For those who are unaware, Kabuli Pulau is the national dish of Afghanistan. It is typically made with basmati rice, carrot shavings and raisins and its spiced with garam marsala and maybe cinnamon. I have tried making it myself, but it always comes up short from the delicious versions I had in Kandahar and southwest Afghanistan. THIS is what I was looking for! My wife and I also had the Afghani sampler which came with naan, gyro meat, samosas, etc all surrounding a heap of hummus . All of it was fantastic! The atmosphere was great also although a bit small. What I loved: The lamb kabobs, samosa’s and of course the Afghan rice. What I didn’t love: The naan is good, but it’s not Afghan good. It’s clearly not homemade and I wish it were.
MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!!. Ariana Kabob and Gyro Bistro is my favorite restaurant. Everything tastes amazing. I have been here 12 times. Every time that I have been here, I try something new and have liked all the dishes that I have tried. If I had to pick just one thing that is the best would be hard. I have been there when it is slow and when it was busy. The service has always been wonderful in this family run restaurant. You can tell that they work together as a family and take pride in their restaurant. I have done take out and also been here with my own family and friends. When I have come with family and friends, if they had any questions about what an item was all the people at Ariana were very happy to explain what was in the dish for my friends who had never been there before or have had this type of food. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!! It’s so good!!!! To everyone at Ariana Kabob and Gyro Bistro, thanks for making amazing food in your wonderful restaurant in St. Louis Park.
If you like overcooked and tuff meat this place is for you. Not very friendly service and warm beverages. facebook.com
This restaurant opened in my neighborhood and I couldn’t be happier. The food is wonderful and the people are friendly, I highly recommend this restaurant to others.
Fresh, tasty and plentiful!. I love having this restaurant so close to home–have been there half a dozen times now, and each time it gets better. I usually have the gyro with everything and it’s always hot and tasty with fresh ingredients, fast service and friendly staff. They are a relatively new place and are doing some experimenting (with different styles of the accompanying fries, for example) but everything has been delicious. I always mean to try something else from their menu (the lamb chops and grilled vegetables, for example!) but that wonderful gyro gets me every time…best tzatziki sauce I’ve had in a long time
This place is easily one of my favorites. From their variety kabobs and rices to their amazing gyros. Best gyro I’ve had hands down. Their afghan rice is delish! Recommend this place to anyone.
