Horrible service and so so food. Made a reservation for my son’s birthday, showed up and was informed that they weren’t honoring reservation for parties under 4. Then why did you take it? Another visit we were forgotten for most of the meal, items were delivered to the table late after we had pretty much finished our meal. The decor is getting shotty. There waiting area is extremely messy and inadequate. Don’t waste your time or $$$. There are better with better service.
As one of the few Szechuan restos in the cities, if you like Chinese cuisine, you like Tea House. The Plymouth location is more convenient than those in the city but isn’t too far for those who aren’t in the suburbs. From the green beans and wontons to Buddha’s delight, there are vegetarian options abound but plenty of meaty dishes for everyone else. Large groups are as easily accommodated as a couple and the service is decent.
Recently returned from Chinatown and NY, and the food at Tea House is just as good or better. One of our favorites for years.
Love the Brunch but not the crowd. We’ve been going here for a while. I enjoy the Weekend Brunch. It’s different from other regular Chinese places. The only issue is the crowd! Wow. My husband and I came a little earlier than normal on a Sat and the people in line were competing for food like savages. The kitchen tried their best to keep up. The wait staff were kept busy running around but as soon as anything got refilled, it was gone! When it was finally my turn, I did not seem to go fast enough for those behind me who got impatient. The attitude of the crowd put us off completely…and stressed us out.We will keep going here but at a later time as to avoid the crowd.
Extremely disappointed, ordered a vegetarian dish and found pieces of chicken in it, the manager didn’t even apologized for that. Vegetarians beware of that restaurant. Customer service is mediocre.
Not Good. Was going to have dinner at the Tea House in Plymouth, MN last night for the very first time. However, Dirty Dishes; slow service and poor manners by staff promoted us to leave without eating there.
Disappointed. I recently got take-out dinner from Tea House – Plymouth, and found it very disappointing. I ordered the house spicy pork and fried rice. The fried rice was very dry and tasteless, as if it had been sitting around since lunch. The spicy pork was far from spicy and didn’t really have any other taste than salt. When I order one of the spiciest dishes on the menu, I expect some real heat; all this had was a couple of tablespoons of crushed red pepper poured on top. Aside from that, I struggled to detect any other taste. It was so salty I couldn’t even finish half. My wife ordered Beef and Broccoli, which she deemed mediocre at best (her white rice was also dry/undercooked). Definitely not worth the price we paid. Some people seem to have been pleased with this restaurant, but I certainly wont be coming back.
