It’s really ridiculous. This restaurant refused to honor their gift card. I have a tea house gift card which is a birthday present from my son. I just put it into a drawer and totally forgot it. My wife reminded me yesterday and I ordered some dishes today. Guess what, they refused to take the gift card. Firstly they said this card is sold by another restaurant with the same name, I show them the card, the address and the phone number. And then they said it expired – I can’t see any term on the card saying it would expire. And eventually they said their computer was replaced and can not recognize the card any more. Oh, lucky me, I got to contribute my 50 bucks to celebrate their new computer. And what really disgusted me is that the owner said someone might use the card before and they don’t know how much left in the card. By the way they are selling different looking gift cards hope they don’t replace their computer in the near future. I regularly order takeouts from them, it’s a nearly weekly deal last year. I don’t want to waste the food, I still paid with my credit card and I guess this is my last time. I don’t like to deal with dishonest people.
