Great Takeout, tough location to find. We enjoy the takeout. Its a pain to get to the restaurant. The old cooper theater at least had access from the west. Front desk is friendly and efficient. We like the sweet and sour soup. This is what keeps us coming back. Food is always hot and tasty.
Center Poor – Food Great. Don’t let the dumpy little strip center that this restaurant is located in fool you. Also, don’t let the actual look of the restaurant fool you.The food is great. Recommend – Egg Drop Soup – BBQ Pork – Sizzling Duck
I literally dream about their dimsum. I wish I could go here for dimsum every weekend. Bring all your friends and family so you can try more things (and split the bill, it can get expensive if you go by yourself). I don’t even waste my time going elsewhere, and all the locals around here KNOW that Yangtze is the place to go if you’re serious about wanting to get THE BEST dimsum in the cities.
Great to know this is in the Twin Cities. I visited in November 2011 and was happily surprised with the taste and quality of the weekend dim sum. I subsequently went to another (not to be named) restaurant in Boston that wasn’t nearly as good in terms of the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
Outstandingly Good Food. I was encouraged by the positive reviews here and chose Yangtze for dinner tonight. It’s very soothingly decorated in light colored wood and wall paper with soft red and gold tones and cream. I was greeted cheerfully, shown to my table and soon visited by my server, Wendy. I had a very nice glass of Shiraz, followed by an excellent cup of hot and sour soup. Nice rich broth, loaded with all the usual goodies and a nice sour note with a peppery finish that only seemed to materialize on the tongue after swallowing. I savored each bite. For the main dish I had Mandarin Beef–wonderfully tender slices of beef with bright green pea pods, sunset orange carrots, baby corn and mushrooms in a terrific spicy (garlic/ginger) sauce, delivered on a sizzling platter. It was perfect. The price was very reasonable too at $22.00.I give Yangtze 5 STARS! Great dinner.
Not a huge selection of dim sum but everything was fresh
