Nice cozy hole-in-the-wall bar. Great meat loaf sandwich.
Your Downtown Neighborhood Tavern. The bar has an eclectic mix of patrons from lawyers and accountants to blue collar workers and college students. They usually have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. During the weekdays you can find various dart teams several nights a week. Also, there is an upstairs with a pool table that overlooks the main bar area. You’ll find plenty of seating and a large bar with a variety of beers and drink options, most of which are inexpensive. If your lucky, Lisa the mixologist will be behind the bar the night you are there. They specialize in home made meals like corned beef and cabbage, BBQ ribs, and turkey with mashed potatos and gravy. The corned beef and cabbage is better than all of the other Irish bars I’ve tried in St. Pual. It’s completely made from scratch. The meat is tender, has a nice brine, and uses just the correct amount of pickling spices. It’s the bomb. They also serve a variety of bar foods, including sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and fried appetizers. It’s like your neighborhood tavern in the middle of downtown St. Paul.
