Good food and good value. Five us went here today and shared a veggie sampler and a beef sampler. Two had coffee and the rest had water. $33 and everyone was stuffed. For atmosphere, RAS is not quite in the same league as Fasika, but the service – although slow – is friendlier and I find the food to be better, the portions larger and the prices lower.I’ve been here before and will be here again.

I visit in lunch time with my friends and really liked the food. I have Ethiopian food before in a better rated restaurant but this one had much better food. Nice ambience and pretty big place compare how it look from outside. We had veggie combo which was good for 2 people. Really good find and good value for the money. Will come back for sure.
Not only for the brave!. I took a friend who likes culinary adventure, but who hadn’t had Ethiopian food before. We both enjoyed the meal very much. We ordered the veggie combo (which would have been more than enough for two!); it includes everything on the vegetarian list. The 7 veggie dishes were interesting, but not very spicy. We also wanted to try the Chicken Wat, which is an interesting stew with a very small amount of chicken and a hard boiled egg in a fairly spicy sauce. We were surprised by how well the egg tasted with the sauce, but we would have liked more chicken! Everything is eaten by pinching off a mouthful of food into a piece torn off the spongy injeera bread, although they do bring a fork in case you prefer that! The charming owner, a woman named Zee, checked up on us numerous times and was happy to answer any of our questions in fluent English. Although you may have a server whose English is not extensive, Zee is always there for dinner and most lunches. She served us a cup of traditional Ethiopian tea, which was delicious and exotic. It comes as a cup of spiced hot water into which you dip the tea bag. One does not have to be brave to try this food, only open-minded. I recommend Ras Ethiopian for a healthful, interesting meal.
