I’ve eaten bigger, fresher and tastier tacos at Taco John’s for $0.99 each. Deplorable. No meat, no girth just costs and bull. The place was empty on a saturday lunch rush. Bad choice to take a chance.
Tricky tacos. Think of this place as a gourmet taco joint. Although I like what I ordered, it didn’t taste quite as complex as the indredients listed. Great tasting, but not very big for the price. Most tacos were $2.50-$3 a piece and not a large taco mind you. I ordered chips and guacamole on the side – tasty, fresh and a great value. How about you make the sides smaller and the tacos bigger?
Tacos were small, watery, the meat was dry. Fajitas had no peppers. Don’t like being forced to sit at the same table as strangest and we saw a rat outside the front door as we were leaving.
Did not live up to the hype.. I was pretty excited when I first heard about Rusty Taco coming to town. Unfortunately, the tacos are not that great. The main issue is the wetness. The tacos seem to leak watery juice. Also, the prices are not all that low. I can get higher quality authentic tacos at most small neighborhood Mexican restaurants for less money. The guacamole and chips were alright. The beer prices were decent. Overall, I would not go out of my way to eat here.
Tasty, but pricy. Very tasty tacos, but we thought they were a little expensive. they didn’t even have cheese or anything on them, so from a value perspective, we were a bit disappointed
Good place for fast and authentic tacos. Went yesterday for the first time with the husband and we will be back to try some of the other choices. Nice little neighborhood joint to catch a quick bite. Tried the chicken, fish and shrimp tacos. All very good and fresh; my favorite the shrimp and my husband loved the fish. Tomatillo salsa and medium hot tomato salsa were fresh and a nice addition to the tacos we ordered. My husband liked them best just as they were served.
Becoming an addiction now…. I finally broke down and visited the Rusty Taco on my way to Trader Joes across the parking lot. The roasted pork taco and the brisket taco have become an almost daily lunch or dinner over the last three weeks. I’ve sampled most of the others but that pork rules. Make certain to request double corn tortillas! The biggest downfall is the almost impossible hurdle of getting near the place because traffic at the intersection and parking battles with Papa Murphy’s next door are horrific. Walk if you can.
