    Excellent Experience. Last night we had my daughter’s 40 th birthday celebration at Dangerfields. First , our family of 10, had dinner upstairs in the library. The food was tasty, and the service excellent! Then we proceeded to the basement for a surprise party with over 100 guests, for my daughter. Gus and Randy were so accommodating. The servers very nice and efficient. We could have not asked for a better place to host the event. Thanks so much, Dangerfield’s!!!!!!!!!!!

    A bad place to eat. This place needs to revamp its entire business plan. Food is really bad and the service is mediocre at best. Dangerfields could be a great restaurant, but tries very hard to not be. Avoid this place. I can’t recommend anything from this restaurant.

    Catering is highly unethical and unprofessional!!. I would highly discourage everyone from selecting Dangerfields to cater your wedding. The owner, Gus, is sleazy and unethical. We had numerous problems throughout the entire process. A few are highlighted below.When we placed our catering order with Gus, he delivered an invoice which was literally thousands of dollars higher (for the alcohol) than we were expecting, based on the wedding catering menu on the Dangerfields website. He told us the website was incorrect and his invoice was correct. Needless to say, we had to drastically change our order to get closer back to our budget. Then, we received a new invoice (with the correct pricing), and he increased the price of our food by $1 per person, because we had a special order. Not true. We ordered directly off the catering menu. Nothing special or unique about it.The day of the wedding was a disaster. Gus staff was trashy and highly unprofessional. We were told we would only be charged for tapped kegs and opened bottles of wine. All unopened bottles of wine would be refunded. Sounded fair, but then towards the end of the night, the bartenders unnecessarily opened a bunch of bottles of wine and let them sit on the bar. They were never used and we were charged for them. The wine we ordered and paid for was not served. Gus substituted his incredibly cheap house wine and then refused to refund me the difference in cost between what I paid for and what he servedFor cocktail hour, we paid a fixed price for unlimited full bar. Again, seemed fair, until his bartenders shut down the bar 10 minutes early. Again, Gus refused to refund me for the 10 minutes that were not used.Gus ran out of beer glasses by 7pm. Guests had to drink beer out of wine glasses the duration of the evening.We received numerous complaints that the bartenders were drinking on the job, even to the extent that they were spilling drinks on our guests when they were attempting to clean off tables.

    The food was not what we were expecting for the price. The salad was delish but the steak was cold and overcooked and lacked flavor and bark. After letting the server know of the issue the owner stated it would take an additional 40 minutes to make a new one. Are you kidding me 40 minutes, which is a joke. I have eaten at all types of resturants from truck stops to 5 star resturants and never has it taken 40 minutes to cook a steak. I am surprised he is still in business with his poor customer service skills. If you are thinking about enjoying a dinner there stick to the burgers but if your lookibg for a good steak avoid this place as you will be disappointed and you would have better luck getting a good steak at a truck stop near by for a way better price.

    STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!. AWFUL, BAD, HORRIBLE, DIRTY, RUDE. The list goes on. I would have given negative stars had that been an option.We walked in and another party was in front of us for lunch. There was NO ONE at the hostess stand and the sign said please wait to be seated. Plenty of times someone walked by, no one was ever acknowledged, and not one person came to help seat anyone for over ten minutes. That should have been our clue to turn around and walk out but there are little other choices in Shakopee. The party in front of us was seated outside and it took another five to ten minutes to come back and seat us inside.The waiter was awful, he was not friendly, the food was not hot when it came to the table and it was not good at all.The decor is awful, and I don’t want to know the last time they cleaned that nasty carpet or dusted. Shakopee and Wright County must not have a health department because this place would be shut down.We will never be back and suggest that no one else goes there either.

    I have eaten there for 20 years and at one time in the past it was excellent. It has gradually gone downhill. The buffets are still very good though.
