Well, a bit torn. Love the salads here. today….didn’t like the red lentil burger. I was told it was the most popular but it was a mushy pile of ???? Not sure if there were any red lentils and it didn’t have any flavor. Sad that the rice crispy bar was old and soggy. The hemp brownie wasn’t the same…it was overly chewy and the flavor was off. I will give them another try but will ask more questions.
Come for the food. Wow. Thank you, Shera, my first ever nice server here. I keep coming back to Peoples because the food is healthy and amazing, and had resigned myself to the fact that the cashiers were uniformly fed up and impatient with the customers. Happily today, Shera was just a sweetheart. Seriously makes a differrence in the experience of eating here. Am particularly addicted to their Zone Omlette and Tomato/Chevre/Pesto omlette. Today trying the butternut squash soup and beet salad. The butternut squash soup is not the sweet as pie version I was expecting, more a butternut zuccini savory soup, but it is still good. Bread with it is anemic but soup’s good. Beet salad is good except the butter lettuce leaves are HUGE and will have to be cut before I can eat them. The sunflower seeds are still warm they are so freshly roasted, yum. Balsamic dressing just okay. I do wish they would come up with some desserts that are Agave or Stevia sweetened, but the green tea selection is great so that’ll do for a dessert for me for now. And I did get my whole order within 10 minutes of ordering it so that’s a plus too. Peoples, I’ll be back again.31 Jan, 2012Great food, iffy service. Have met friends here a half dozen times for breakfast. Am completely addicted to their goat cheese/pesto omlette with ciabatta toast and their fab selection of green teas. Service can be a little iffy, but for a quick, delicious breakfast with girlfriends, the best place west of the river.
This is my 3rd time here and I keep hoping the service would get faster. Unfortunately, it is unbelievably SLOW. The food is okay, but avoid the salmon (very bland).
Fresh, Real, Yummy
The curry chicken salad sandwich is amazing! Also an excellent wine list & exceptional service. Great addition to the neighborhood. Hope one opens downtown too.
I hope this place sticks around. I’m always a fan of trying new coffee places. I was pleased with the variety of drinks and menu items they offer. All vegan dishes were clearly marked, which is so helpful! My veggie burger and almond milk latte were superb!
Delicious. Everything I have tried at People’s Organic has been fantastic. My favorites have been the brioche, the mochas, and the delicious panna cotta. The waitstaff is pleasant and helpful and the prices are very fair for the quality of the food. Highly recommended.
