Great sandwiches you will not taste the likes of anywhere!I have been eating Schlotzky’s sandwiches since the mid ’80s and my first introduction to them at the U of MInnesota at Stadium Village. While the have undergone some small changes in that time they still are fantastically delicious! And the restaurant now offers more food options than ever. A lot of their beauty is in their specially made round bread. Very porous white bread with just the right amount of tooth to never be mushy, combined with just the right amount of buttery crust. That said, The Original is what its all about. Im not a big yellow mustard guy, but the sandwich just does not taste right w/o it. I’ve tried it removing and adding other ingredients as well over the years and come to the same conclusion: it is the perfect combination of ingredients in exact quantities–leave it alone (with the exception of adding jalapenos for kick!)In my opinion its the king of sandwiches!
