I was recently at a wedding hosted by Domacin. The food was wonderful. The duck confit and beef tenderloin were the favorites of the night. I’m not a wine drinker, but heard plenty of compliments from the other guests.

Awful Management. I had been to Domacin a couple of times in the past and they have great food while slightly over priced. Recently though, I tried to make a reservation for their cellar room for my husband’s birthday dinner. Four attempts, 2 phone calls and 2 emails, I tried to get a hold of their management staff (the only one’s that make these type of reservations) to no avail. No one would even call me back to say they had no room. There are a lot of fine dining restaurants in Minneapolis. We will be heading into the city instead of out of it from now on.

The menu was simple but the food was pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was to die for but the waitstaff, service, and advice on the wine paring was excellent. Beer selection was sub par but on the whole I give this a thumbs up…definitely save room for a dessert and port

I can’t put a finger behind the reasoning for a negative review here. Staff was wise to the cuisine and expansive wine menu, and very friendly. Scallop appetizer was small yet superb. The duck could have used a tad more spice/flavor because it is such a lean meat, but still VERY GOOD. My fianc had the pork belly. I can honestly say this is the best pork I have ever eaten. I undoubtedly will return to this lovely restaurant, and highly recommend the pork belly.

The atmosphere, food and wine are spectacular. The pork belly is to die for. Alex knows how to pair wine with the best of them. He also has a great memory about his clientel. He remembered where I sat the first time I sat down, my name and my girlfriends name. The staff is friendly and helpful and the overall experience is nothing short of Awsome! Best food in Stillwater!

Off the beaten path. Every time I try to tell people where this place is, they always end up at Marx on the main drag in Stillwater. It is up the hill a little ways. Loved going here for a wine and dessert in the summer, so you can sit out on the patio and look over the river. Cheese plate with a wine for an appetizer also very good. Service is good. If you don’t like wine, ask for a recommendation on beer. (If you’re a complete beer snob, try the Tripel Karmeleit).
