Food was really bad. I would never call this Mexican food. I ordered a chimiChanga and got a roll up that was very doughy and covered with a bad white gravy. I said the chimi did not seem like it was fried and was told that they just lightly fry it. It was a really soft dough. The server said it looked normal. I sent it back. There was a taco salad ordered also that was ordered with no cheese or sour cream, because of alergies, and received a taco salad with both. They made a new one that looked like a bean puree with bean and cream. She could not eat that either. An order of taquitos? They were really hard from being over fried, she could only eat two, she was tool embarrassed to send it back. My other friend ordered a burrito that he called a burrito oatmeal. Service was really nice. I feel bad for the servers that have to deal with the bad food. I got a free dessert that that was pretty good.
First and last time I went here our food was served cold. Awful. The server was terrible as well. That was in summer 2012, perhaps it is better now.
Try the cheese sauce when you go!! Yumm! Sometimes I’ll just get that and a basket of chips. 🙂
Mary. I have always enjoyed the food at Acapulco – my fav is the Chili Colorado. Disappointed me today – looked up the menu online and ordered the lunch Chili Colorado and Lunch Chimichanga. On line, the Colorado was listed at 6.99 and the Chimi at 7.29. Received the check and each item was $1.00 more. Don’t want to appear cheap – but in both instances more than 10% more. The wait staff said that the new prices have not posted online yet. How long does it take to revise pricing and post it online????
Good food, very relaxing. We just love going to Acapulco. They have great service, and always keep the chips/salsa going. The menu is pretty typical. Their food is great, and always seems to come out quickly. I really enjoy sitting in the booths in the bar where I can watch the Twins or whatever. Just a really relaxing place where you can get a beer and great mexican food.
Good food and good booze. We love going here for that classic cantina ambiance and good food at great prices. Their salsa is great, their margaritas are cheap and tasty. The service is freaky-fast, and really friendly.
Had the grilled chicken wrap, which was pretty good even though it seemed cold. The service on the other hand was something to be desired.
