  Superb. Mothers day dinner, of course I would want to go to Acqua. This restaurant does not disappoint! perfect dinner – beet salad, salmon (I’m snobbish about fish after a decade in Seattle) and a dreamsicle dessert. Every bite was fabulous. If you haven’t gone you’re definitely missing something special

  Good food, Terrible service. My party and I (four of us total) arrived on time for our 7 PM reservation and were seated a few minutes after arriving. We waited for about 10 minutes before a server came to our table after being seated. Then I noticed the ladybugs crawling all over the walls. The tone was set for a poor experience. Each time we ordered a drink, it took an inordinately long time to get our requested items. Our drinks were not kept refilled at all. Our server came by to check on another table behind us and chatted with them for awhile. Did not even bother to check on us until we kept calling her back to our table. We tried the 3 course tasting menu, which is the best value at this establishment. The food was good, but I have had better. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. For four people to dine there, it took two hours from being seated to receiving the check. I will definitely not be coming back here.

  My favorite. This is my favorite place to dine. Went here for Valentine’s Day. The food is by far some of the best I have ever had. Nothing on this menu disappoints. I also know many of the people who work at this location. You are in good hands with the long term staff. They are experienced, professional, friendly and organized. The only issues that we have ever had stem from newer employees. They tend to stand out from the experienced onesIf you are looking for a romantic setting, quite, private, nice view, patio, etc this spot deserves a try. I am confident you will not be disappointed. Start with the Mitili anda glass of Torrentes. Entrees, I suggest the Osso Bucco, Lamb Chops, or any fish dish. and finish with the selection of sorbets. If you have the space left.

  My favorite. Acqua is one on the top restaurants on the east side of the cities. Great food, great setting, great service. Love it. Looking forward to summer and outdoor dining.

  I’m not usually impressed with desserts, and in general I’m not a sweets lover, but the molten chocolate cake with graham cracker ice cream and bruleed marshmallow creme was to die for, in fact the best dessert I’ve had all year. I would go back just for that. As for the rest of our meal, it was okay. The eggplant crostini and squash ravioli were very good. The ravioli was quite sweet, owing I’m sure to the large amount of browned butter sauce, but I really enjoyed it anyway. It had great sage and pancetta flavor, very nicely balanced with pasta that wasn’t overcooked and had good flavor of it’s own accord. We also tried a special that promised gnocchi and lobster, which sounded great, but the dish as a whole was really heavy. The gnocchi itself was tender and light and the lobster was just barely overcooked, but I expected a lighter, fresher dish. There were too many competing flavors in the sauce- asparagus, broccoli, peppers, tomato, cream, onion… and the sauce was very thick. It should have been enjoyable, but was kind of muddled and confusing. I also tried the cream of mushroom soup and found it inedible. It was very underseasoned (and no salt on the table) and cold. I would have been okay with the temperature, in fact I would eat a good cream of mushroom soup cold, but this wasn’t at all creamy. It had an odd consistency- very rough. Unfortunately our waiter did not clear my dish nor did the person who did note that I hadn’t as much as touched it, no inquiry from the chef either. I mentioned it to our waiter later and he said he would pass it on but that it is well-liked by others despite the consistency which he likened to a mushroom pure. I wish I had been offered the other soup or a salad, but we received no recompense. I would try Acqua again, owing mostly to a nice location, atmosphere and good service. If our experience with the food isn’t better next time I’ll cross it off the list permanently and stick to an occasional drop-in for dessert.

  What’s not to like about this place? Great setting, great food, great service! We enjoyed a 3 course meal next to a fire place. They sent us a nice thank you card after our first visit and now send us a card for special occasions. We always recommend this place to friends and always enjoy our meals there. The only recommendation I have is to sound proof the kitchen door. While I myself do enjoy listening to G&R’s welcome to the jungle, I don’t think my girl friend appreciated it as much 🙂 We could hardly hear it though so it wasn’t a big deal. We thought it was more funny than anything. Great experience every time!
