I love the food at Ban Thai. I love how they are not afraid to add spice to their food. However, their food can get almost too spicy. If you love hot food, I would recommend the Gang Panang.

Gluten Free and Tasty. They really care, know what they are doing and all but one or two items are gluten free and most are also dairy free. I am always safe eating gluten free and dairy free here….and the food is sooo good.Check their website for hours. They have limited hours and closed Sundays.

Fantastic. I had never had Thai food before and I will admit untill late I was very warey of any true exotic foods. It was my coworker who introduced me to Ban Thai and tho I was apprehensive I decided to go and hear him out….. I have never been so happy in my life. Their menu had anything and everything a lover of Thai food (and the newbies) could ever want. I had the fantastic Lo Mein Thai Style noodles that left me wanting to move into there kitchen they were so good. I reccomend this to everyone you will get some of the best food you can imagine!!!!!! Cannot wait to go there again for lunch today!!!

My Favorite When I Don’t Feel Well!. Whenever I have a cold, this is the place my husband picks up Chicken Pad Thai for me. They will remind you when they order that they spice on a scale of 1-4 and they are heavy-handed with the spice. I find that a 2 is the most I can handle, and I like spicy! It always drains my sinuses and makes me feel great! Haha!! I also love the Vegetable Egg Rolls – the sweet and sour peanut dipping sauce they serve with it is delicious – I always pour the extra over my noodles or rice. The egg rolls have a nice black pepper flavor. I also have enjoyed their peanut-curry dish ( I can’t remember the name, it is a house specialty). The owners are really nice. Sometimes it takes a little longer than you think it should to pull together an order and it is a bit expensive, but I think it’s completely worth it.

Wonderful Thai food. The mild spicyness was spicy enough. I’ve been here 3 times, tried different dishes everytime. Have tried Chicken Panang, pad Thai, green curry beef, cat fish drizzles with Thai curry-chilli sauce. All were so good… Even the fried rice reminds me of fried rice from small restaurants back home, that were so good…

Horrible!!. This was one of the worst dinning experiences I have had. Food, Service and Atmosphere was horrendous. To start, this is NOT a family friendly restaurant as it took over 30 mins for the waiter to recognize that we had an 18mo old with us. The service was well below par as illustrated by, no silverware at our table, 30 mins to as for our drink order, never asking us for refills and horrible time management. The food was not only sub-standard it was virtually uneatable! The Tom Yum soup base was not made in advanced so the soup had no flavor, it basically tasted like warm coconut milk with chicken. The Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had (hard to believe you could screw up Pad Thai). The peanuts were burnt, the chicken was tough and the entire dish had too much peanut oil. There was basically NO flavor! The Green Curry was not eatable and I’m not going into the details, your going to have to trust me on this. The white rice was burnt. I know it seems like this place should not even be in business, but somehow it was (not sure what this says about their regulars). My wife and I were laughing hysterically when we left because the entire dinner reminded us of an SnL routine. If anyone wants to open a Thai restaurant in the Shoreview, WBL, Mahtomedi you have NO competition. I honestly have not one positive thing to say about this place.

The best Egg Rolls ever!. Order Rayong’s Egg Rolls (#103) and have the best crispy eggs rolls on the planet. Three of us had them and agreed. Classic Pad Thai was great too. Very casual. Somewhat disorganized and slow service, but have a beer and be patient. Worth the wait.
