I work here. Well this isnt really a review, since I work at Donatellis and have for 9 months. After reading all your reviews I want to share some things. All of our servers are fabulous, from Eli whose energy and positivity regularly astounds customers and coworkers alike (I’m not joking here), to Linda, who has worked there for over 25 years, to Kristi who calls Donatelli’s her second home (and rightly so!). All of the staff is friendly and interesting, even behind the scenes. When I walk in the back I am greeted (and greet in return) everyone I see. I love all my coworkers and we take care of each other, and you. We are energetic and cheerful, and we really try to do our best. The food is fabulous, even the gluten-free food. Especially the gluten-free food. I am gluten-free and dairy-free (at an Italian restaurant where we use thousands of pounds of cheese per week..) and I am never at a loss for something good to eat after work.If you leave feeling unsatisfied.. you might just be a grumpy person. My advice to you: Give us a shot. We are worth the drive.Insider tips: ~Try visiting us on a Monday or Tuesday, you wont have to wait hardly at all to be seated and its a much more relaxing atmosphere than at 7 on a Saturday night.~ Baked Mostaccioli with meatballs is probably our most popular item.~Try a Hot Fudge Cake! Simply the best, three huge scoops of vanilla ice cream covered by a tent of warm, homemade chocolate cake, drizzled with hot fudge sauce and garnished by towers of whipped cream and a cherry. Definitely enough for 4 people.

Worth the Trip. I first tried this place in Feb 2012 while down to watch the Jets beat the Wild. We were served by Linda and she ensured we had a great night. We wanted to sample a number of items to really get a feel for the restaurant. The bruschetta was excellent, the garlic cheese bread was a bit of a let down after the bruschetta. We split the mostaccioli and the Heart Stopper Pizza. Both were AMAZING.So, 20 months later we go back and Linda remembers us! We have the brushetta, homemade linguini and shrimp and the spaghetti pie. The bruschetta continues to wow. The homemade pasta is to die for, though I’d pass on the spaghetti pie. Heck, I wish I would’ve gotten a Heart Stopper Pizza to go!I really enjoyed that Linda recalled us from 20 months ago. She takes care of her guests and makes excellent suggestions as she KNOWS the menu.

Best Marinara Sauce. Stopped for a late dinner after working 8 hours on relative’s landscape. Hungry and tired, ordered appetizers and pizza. Service was fast, loved the extra cheese and sauce on the pizza. It wasn’t air brushed on like some other places. A little pricey, but well worth it! Can’t wait for the opportunity to go back. Eat in- not take-out. Food is good but I specifically asked the person taking my take out order if the delivery person could make change. She said YES- but they could not. That left me in an awkward situation. I should have gotten change for order but the delivery person got a hefty tip
