Great restuarant. My family and I have been eating here since it opened. The food is excellant and service is superb. Sam and his team sure know how to make you feel special. Cash or check only, this helps keep prices down.
Great place to eat. I have been going there for more than 20 years. It is my absolute favorite chinese restaurant in the entire MSP metro. I would recommend it HIGHLY!! Sam is a great host as well!!
Awesome food. Everyone I know that eats at King City loves the food they serve, I myself have been eating there for over 20 years! Sam and his staff are always friendly and make you feel right at home. I used to live a few miles away from King City, I now drive over 20 miles just to be guaranteed that I’m going to have a wonderful meal. Their food is simply delicious and to this day I still recommend King City to all my friends!Thanks Sam!

Suggestion. I love King’s City-been going there since they opened–but thought I’d need to give it up when I found out I am gluten & MSG sensitive–THEN I found out if you ask, they will prepare specially for you GLUTEN FREE FRIED RICE….Its better then normal fried rice!!! And you can request ‘no MSG’–and you will get it!!! Although, unlike some other restaurants, the ‘msg factor’ isn’t an issue for me here, its more the gluten. BUT I have YET to get pain from their chicken wings, lo mein, or chop suey (TOTALLY GLUTEN FREE)!!! To know I don’t need to give up a favorite place because of my ‘tummy issues’ is amazing–and Sam and Cammy are wonderful in trying to advise what would not aggravate issues, and the waitstaff has members who are also very knowledgeable about their food and if they don’t know what is in something, they will find out for you! King’s City is a wonderful, small restaurant in White Bear Lake with an awesome staff and delicious food! If you want something specially prepared, you can ask, and it will be done for you–how many other places really would do that for you?
Absolutely NOT as good as reviewed. There is 1 reason why everyone has rated this restaurant so high: The owner is a very personable and nice guy, and the restaurant has very good service, however THE FOOD IS BAD.When it comes down to brass tacks, the food is just not good. My sweet and sour chicken was soggy and the chicken to breading ratio was 60% breading to 40% chicken. Their other mixed dishes (like chow mein, etc) were flavored with what tasted like just salt alone.There are MUCH better Asian places around like Asia’s Finest Restaurant which has similarly good service and great food. I like the owner, but avoid this place
