When they have an entertainer during the holidays it is nice. Sometimes the menu is just like any other seafood steak place,and then sometimes they really have some great unique food. The food is never bad but not outstanding all the time. The staff is lukewarm to friendly. The managers try hard to please. The place is clean looking and pleasant smelling. During busy times it gets a little crowded. They give decent portions too.
We have dined at this establishment countless times… Located on Beach Blvd in the quaint Old Town area of Bay St Louis. Dress code is generally business casual, but I doubt they would turn away paying customers in their flip flop attire! Lol. Food is always pretty good. Unique and historically trendy decor. They also have the Hurricane Bar inside, but I have never seen the bar busy. North Beach is definitely the only restaurant in the Old Town area that offers a somewhat classier option for dining.
I have no idea how the food is here! Our party of 10 asked if we could move three tables together. The hostess relayed our request to a coworker—I am assuming that he was a waiter. He was obviously put out by the request. He acted like we were a nuisance and were a pain in the behind. So, instead of spending our $ there, we went down the street. If his boss knew that he chased away 10 hungry and thirsty customers, I bet he would not be thrilled. We have no desire to return to this restaurant.
Horrible service and terrible food. At this price point the servers should know to check on you every ten minutes. Food was burnt. I don’t recommend.
Terrible Experience!!. Very unorganized and unprofessional. While addressing a problem the general manager spoke down to me, yet when a male counterpart addressed the same problem he was cordial and handled the situation promptly. The hostess was extremely rude. Salads and soups were sent out at different times for our party, which meant our main course was served at room temperature. We waited a long time for our checks and they were all mixed up. At this point the general manager blamed us for the problem and laughed in our faces. I will never return and will be sure to tell my friends there are other, better places around town to eat.
Service was fast and good this time of the year. We had a pasta dish that was delicious!
Best Restaurant in Bay St Louis. My family and I have visited 200 North Beach several times. Every time I visit, I order something new and I have yet to be disappointed! Pictured below, I ordered a seared salmon over a risotto topped with asparagus. I must say it was outstanding! Whether you are in the area or not, you MUST visit 200 North Beach!
