Best experience ever. Me, my wife, my son, and my mother came to eat here for my mothers birthday. the waiter we had his name was charlie by the way was an amazing server. he stayed on keeping out drinks full and how we were doing. our appetizers came fairly quickly followed by our entre. the steaks that we ordered were the best that anyone of us has ever eaten well worth the price. over all the atmosphere was amazing, the server was definitely 5 star and I am thankful to have the amazing meal from a very competent group of chefs they have staffed there. definitely a place to become a regular at.
Worst dinner ever. Six of us went to Bogarts Steak House for dinner last Saturday evening. The evening started out fine with our drinks and went downhill from there. We all ordered salads which were not too bad but a little heavy on the dressing. The lobster bisque (no lobster) was a huge disappointment as well as the french onion soup. Our entrees came and the seafood pasta which two of us ordered was a TINY portion with a spider sized fried soft shell crab on it and literally no other seafood to be found. The pasta covered about 1/8 of the dish and looked like an appetizer. VERY EXPENSIVE for such a stingy portion. One of us ordered the fried seafood platter and it was overcooked (dry) and had no flavor. The rib eye steak was well cooked (med rare) and I asked for a blue cheese crust… which turned out to be all bread crumbs and no cheese. VERY SALTY. We never mind paying for a good meal but this one was horrible and too expensive. My husband said he will never go back even to gamble. Our server was wonderful however and the only bright spot of the evening.
Horrriiibbbllleeee… After receiving my food before my appetizer which is a big enough no no for me my lil brothers steak literally had blood oozing out of it after ordering it medium rare. my mothers bread was so tough on her club that she sent it back and not to mention our waiter was not a very sincere person when it came to apologies………..eat that bogarts.
Great deal for $40. More food than two can eat! Lovely atmosphere and service. Prime Rib and bread pudding worth going back for! Ask for a window seat.
Bogart’s Steakhouse. Passing through MS my husband and I needed a place to eat. Initially searching for this via Google, there was no mention it was in a casino. We found that out fairly quickly and decided to give it a try anyway. To get to the restaurant you need to go through the casino and upstairs, which can be somewhat tedious with the general sleazy casino crowd. When we entered the restaurant, it was nice. Dim lighting, clean, and a great view over water. The wait staff was friendly, accurate, and quick. Our drinks were always full and the food came at a timely manner. We even had the manager on staff (I’m assuming) ask us how our dining experience was. I chuckled a little to myself, he reminded me of Robert De Niro in the movie Casino. Anyway, the reason why I don’t like this restaurant is the entire reason why I went there…the food. It just really wasn’t good. The appetizers were blah, the salad was meh, and the main course just didn’t do it for either of us. I think what they really need to do is revamp the menu and start using quality ingredients.
Wonderful food. I wanted to let you know the entire dining experience at bogarts was wonderfullllllll…..atmosphere, ambience, staff….and spinach sauteed was greattttttt.and scallops, along with others to mention.
Dissatisfied. Very disapointed. Food was great , but I went withmy boyfriend to eat the special on Wed. the 2 for 1 @ $39.99. and when I got my bill it was for $65.00 which if you do the math well you see. the managaer reefused to fix it and I eneded up having to pay . The manager wouldnt even come to the table to see why I was upset. I will never go back and I will definitely will tell everyone I know how I was treated.
