Best lunch around and a good cause for helping troubled teens with learning the restaurant business. I had half of a curried chicken salad sandwich and added asparagus fries. Husband had half of a Cuban sandwich, both delicious. Saw one person didn’t like the pulled pork on the Cuban but my husnand loved it. A lot better than just ham that some use.
This restaurant has so much heart and soul, and good food!!! Everything is so fresh and so delicious. The food is so unique and you can taste how much they care about their ingredients. Recommendations: the shrimp cakes, spring rolls, any soup, the curried chicken salad, the tur-ba-cado, the Cuban, and you have to have the lemon curd.
Great Food!. We were looking for a lighter dinner, and chose Starfish Caf. The place is cute, the people are NICE, and the food was very delicious! Everything is made fresh. Everything is around $10 or less, and there are whole/half options for sandwich’s and salads, so you can mix/match. Can’t vouch for the dessert, as they tried hard to sell it to me, and I am sure it is delicious, but I passed. I recommend to eat here, and I will the next time we are back in the area.
By far the best place to eat in MS!!! This is on my list of top 5 list of best in the country!!! What ever you do MAKE it a point to go see chef Di!!! AMAZING!! Stop reading this review and go eat there NOW!!
Outstanding. This cafe is great, I have never met a more selfless person in my life. The owner Di, has created an amazing place with an outstanding environment, very easy to tell that the food is fresh. If ever around Main St. in Bay St. Louis, this is must to visit.
Phil’s Cuban Sandwich …. .. needs to get back on the boat to Cuba. It starts out like a regular Cuban, but it appears that they substituted BBQ pulled pork for the usual shredded Cuban pork.The BBQ just overwhelms all the other flavors. While I didn’t like the sandwich because of the BBQ, it was a brave attempt and it was well-constructed. The second half of the sandwich I pulled the BBQ out and ate it separately. Each was good by itself – but not together.I also had the chili – decent and mild.
