Well we made it to this nice house with lots of cars were parked all over the place. OMG – they have fried green tomatoes and sweet potatoe fried. I know the old fashion burger w/cheese and grilled onions will be great!!!
Traveling with my sisters, we had lunch on Friday. The burgerburger was really good but the service was exceptional. We couldn’t wait to go back for breakfast on Monday. The grits were some of the best these Southern girls ever had! The owner, Martha and our server, Jenny made us feel like family, we will definitely be back!
Unapologetic Fat Food. Come here for lunch and leave your calorie counter at home. Great food, great service.
Not bad but not really good either… I ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were pretty good.. My girlfriend really liked them.. Then I had the meatloaf with butter beans and cabbage dressing.. Everything was ok nothing really wow.. I found it to be mostly under seasoned.. My girlfriend had baked chicken with the cabbage dressing and broccoli. . She found her food under seasoned and her chicken was dry.. I’m The best way to explain the food is cafeteria food.. Filling and not bad but I don’t like paying for it..
Had roast beef poboy today – best ever!
Great service, my waitress was sweet as can be. The burger was good, not horse meat but not high quality either. Homemade fries would help the place out a lot.
Not a horrible place. Would try again. Husband had the triple cheese bacon burger, which was delicious. My kids had the shrimp & chicken baskets, which was okay. I got the roast beef poboy unpressed. Being from Louisiana I’ve been looking for an authentic Roastbeef Poboy. Although the burger was good, the poboys are lacking. The roast was very tender but, was wry tasteless. If only they would add some seasoning, it would’ve been very good. As for the French bread, to be authentic New Orleans style poboy, the bread has to be very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.. Their bread was chewy. Although it wasn’t perfect, I’d be willing to give it another go.
