Some Gas to go with that PoBoy?Fayards seems to be a popular place with the truckers and the Biloxi locals. It does a steady business. It is located in a gas station. Its kind of like Thorntons or RaceTrak or WaWa got stripped of the corporate veneer and did what would appeal to the locals instead of some corporate committee. While there wasnt a long line, it took a surprisingly long time to get our order. And after waiting 15-20 minutes, they finally figured out the they were out of gumbo and bisque. So we ended up with a beef poboy and a boom oyster poboy. The beef one was tasty but almost too salty. The oyster one is boom because it packs a spicy punch. It isnt crazy hot, but it is hot enough to cover the delicate oyster flavor.Since it is near the highway, I would go back to try their gumbo and bisque and non-boom oyster poboy. If, however, they ever move further from the highway, I would probably decide to just keep driving.
Ordered chicken from the kitchen because the tenders in the display case looked like they had been sitting out since lunch. We waited and were told that it would take a few minutes because he was cooking it. My sons chicken was hot and fresh while mine was the very same chicken I didn’t want. Cold and dry. And they were unapologetic when I called to complain. I won’t be back.
Great food and service!
Never disssapointed. We have been coming for 7 years for the shrimp po boys and today on our way back home to Atlanta we stopped for breakfast….. BEST breakfast ever. They never dissapoint.
Amazing food! Always feel like family!
Outstanding!. My husband and I have been here the last 3 days and we just can’t say enough good things! The ice cream bar is a great treat! We loved our lunch (shrimp po boy and bbq sandwich) and their breakfast is great as well! We’re going back tonight for milkshakes! Also great service!
Have to Return. What a great place this is – disguised as a convenience store. The inside is built around an ice cream parlor – the deli is in the back of the store. The staff is terrific very attentive, polite, and friendly. It has seats at the ice cream parlor and quite a few booths along the walls. Very clean and bright, unfortunately I didn’t eat there, but got it to go.The it was the half oyster, half shrimp poboy. The caf features dressed and pressed. The pressed is a very light press just enough to give it some firmness. The dressed was a little underwhelming – the tomato slices a bit thin and ragged. The oysters was small and very sweet, and the shrimp were medium sized and tasty – not so much from the breading, but from the freshness.A very good sandwich and look forward to returning and eating on the premises.
