Cheap, decent taste, big portion, fast = this defines Oishi. I would not say that this is the best Japanese restaurant, because it really isn’t. However, you will get a ton of food for a really good deal. Another bonus is that they deliver free to Keesler, and that’s pretty awesome. I normally order the Chicken yakisoba or the steak/chicken hibachi. Both are okay but not impressive. Their pink sauce (shrimp sauce, yum yum sauce, yellow sauce, etc) is really good, though. I will give them that! Great sauce with a ginger kick to it. I wouldn’t recommend Oishi to anyone unless they really want some junk food in large quantities for a great deal. The service is great, the people are nice, and the food comes out fast.
Oishi Japanese No Impress. Where do I start with Oishi Japanese Express? I used to get great service from them when I ordered to the base. The delivery was fast and prompt. But with speed comes with the price of quality. The presentation of the food varied each time. But recently I had made an online order which they say is more efficient. After about an hour I figured the food would be here around that time. So I called and the said the driver is on his way. Another 30 minutes pasts by and I call again. The person in charge says the driver should be there any moment. Another 30 minutes pasts by and they are closing at this time and they said my order could not be found. I told them I ordered it online and I recieved a confirmation on the order. (Payed Online) They said the could not help me and sorry for the inconvenience. I would not mind if they told me my order did not go through earlier but the lied straight to my face twice saying it was on its way. So I know they did not even bother checking both times. This will be the last time I will ever eat at Oishi.

We ordered a California roll and the dinner hibachi steak which comes with a salad, fried rice and steamed broccoli. The salad dressing is just as good as expensive habachi but it only took about 8 minutes total for our food. If you want the taste of hibachi and don’t care to skip the fire and spatula show. Come here. Very pleased. We’ll be back.
Great food, outstanding customer interaction, well worth trying it and they deliver on those night you don’t want to go out!
No Service…. On June 6, 2013 I ordered the following: Kani Cheese (6 pcs) Fried Gyoza Chicken & Steak(H) +Extended:Medium-well Edamame One hour later no food to be had. Called several time to the restaurant, and they said repeatedly that the food was on the way. When I did get my food I touched everything on the order to examine the temperature and it was hardly warm, I called them back, and from the broken English, I was able to explain to her that I want my order canceled, and refunded. She told me to tell the delivery girl to return the food back to the restaurant, and I will get my ordered canceled. Their excuse was too many orders at the same time, but there was only three to the base, as per the delivery girl. I will not be ordering from this place again.
Oishi is FANTASTIC.. fresh food, clean kitchen and SUPER nice staff.. the rolls are bite sized and with the prices so good, you can get great value for your money. The seaweed salad is great – this is one thing that sometimes is not so good… and the hibachi – the portions are huge so go hungry! Loved it!!!
