Sadly, the server missed bringing one of the beverages and was reminded after the main course was served. Asked for extra utensils and got them 10 mins late (i counted). We weren’t given all chopsticks. He rushed right after our order. When we complained a lot of stuff given were late (only 3 things), his reason was we kept asking for stuff and we interrupted him. Also he NEVER asked we were doing ok. Not once. I was a server before and i knew how to perform. As if he kept rushing it to cover as many tables as he can. At that cost service was bad. Sorry i won’t recommend anyone to come here. Just to service was bad. Food was not bad.
I’m not a fan. I really wanted to like this place because I love sushi & it is super close to home. 3 rolls were ordered and none of them tasted fresh or had a good flavor. My dinner mate felt the same. The atmosphere was nice and my service was average. Employees appear professional, but a few are a little sketchy. I won’t elaborate but it made my dining experience a little uneasy. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but I won’t be back.
I really love this place for lunch. This sashimi special is an excellent deal at $12 – the cuts of fish are generous. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. Servers are very attentive 🙂 I find it a little pricey for dinner.
The place looks great. The food was great too, however, I have gotten bigger portions of rice elsewhere. And the miso soup wasn’t hot enough. Also, after that hibachi show, The chef did not clean the grill all the way. This was not pleasant to look at while I was eating. The music left much to be desired. Instead of modern music, authentic Japanese music would have been much better. Overall, not bad but not the best.
I brought my Wife and kids out to Sumo to give it a try. We arrived just as lunch was ending. And at first we were told they were closed, but the manager quickly ushered us inside, and invited us to eat. So we gathered around the table and 2 other parties joined us as well. This was my 8 year old’s first time experiencing habatchi, and needless to say it won’t be the last. The chef took great pride in entertaining us all, especially since he had to work overtime for us. Our son was having fun trying to catch shrimp in his mouth that was hurled at him. The food was very high quality. I had shrimp, and my wife had steak and shrimp. The restaurant was clean and neat looking.
