Great seafood. Super nice staff. Had a nice convo with Tai, the owner. Very nice man and very eager to please new visitors. I highly recommend this place. Go there…now.
Very good seafood place.. We went last night based on the ratings and were not disappointed. My husband and I shared the fried combo basket with double shrimp and oysters..both were yummy. The breading was perfect, very light and cooked perfectly. I think we could have eaten an entire basket of the onion straws, very, very tasty. Our 8 year old had the children’s shrimp pasta, good Alfredo sauce and both kids loved it.. Large enough to share for 2 kids. If you like traditional, good fresh fried seafood, please drive the 2 blocks off 90 for this place…. We could have walked from the Beau if it had not been raining… This is the best fried seafood I have had down here since before Katrina.. If this place was on the beach, it would be packed…
This was an excellent lunch. Had the touffe and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent, polite, and professional. Great experience and would highly recommend it!
Boudin Balls. Great flavour and texture.07 May, 2015Friendly staff and great food, must go again.. Its a little off the beaten path, but this restaurant is a gem worth finding. If you love good seafood and cold beer this place is heaven.
Great Casual Food Place. A casual, fun atmosphere for a good meal. I had the Dos Platter with the gumbo. Delicious gumbo and the seafood was fried perfectly. Loved it. We also tried the Mini Beignets–excellent! If we are in town, we will definitely come back here!
Friendly staff, great service, but even better food. The crawfish was excellent. I will definitely be retuning here.
Great tails!. I went into Tasty Tails not sure what to expect as I’ve never had crawfish at a restaurant. When I got the menu, I was happy to see they offered snow and king crabs, but alas they only had crawfish, lobster, and dungeness crabthis was nearing to closing time, mind you, so it was understable. I went with a pound of crawfish, with corn and potatoes as sides. I also got boudin eggrolls (no boudin balls on the menu as of writing). Everything was delicious! The boudin eggrolls came out first and was served with remoulade sauce, although truth be told, the eggrolls were delicious as is. The crawfish, smothered in the Tasty Tail sauce, was excellent: the bugs were salty, spicy and full of umami from the garlic. Definitely not for those with high blood pressure, but properly seasoned crawfish never is recommended for HBP patients anyway. If you get the rare slices of garlic (not the numerous diced ones, but those are just as tasty) in the mix, definitely take a taste; it is amazing! This was probably the first time in my life I ate crawfish without ketchup; that’s how yummy it was. I’m already planning my next visit, hopefully for when the snow and king crabs are available; I already know it’ll be a treat to have crab legs smothered in the Tasty Tail sauce. Also, their sweet tea is great too! Not too sweet like that found in many other establishments around town, a perfect foil to the salty and spicy crawfish, it reminds me of my favorite Vietnamese fruit cocktail sans fruit (ch sm b lng).
