Had the oysters bienville and the blackened redfish with crawfish creole sauce. The oysters were large and the bienville topping was DELICIOUS!!! I ordered a half dozen as an appetizer and I quickly wished I had ordered more after I finished because they were so good.The redfish was equally as enjoyable with a generous portion of tender fish with a delicious crawfish creole sauce. Each bite seemed better than the previous (and I’m not a huge fish person!!!!).I’ve been in Biloxi for several days now and Wentzel’s was easily the best meal I’ve had all week, and I’ve had some good ones here!I can’t encourage you to go give them a try strongly enough!!!!
Eggplant Orleans is excellent..Fried flounder tasted like it was breaded then frozen. Not much flavor.Hopefully the other fried seafoods are fresh….Bread loaf is good but I suspect it was frozen, too…Prices are OK.
Great find!Draft beer and mugs are not cold. BUT the food was very good.Fried shrimp were big and fried perfectly! Over a dozen on the plate. I live in south Louisiana so I know what I am talking about.Fried chicken salad had plenty of fried chicken.Very reasonable prices too. $16 for a great shrimp plate!Very friendly staff! They ask your name, introduced themselves and called you by your name.Will definitely return.
Food was good, so was the service. I had the shrimp salad and the shrimp were flavorful and huge. Husband had the burger and said its one of the best on the coast.
A great coastal restaurant with a great variety of menu items that fit their Cajun theme. This meal consisted of shrimp-n-grits, crawfish croquettes and blackened redfish with a crawfish creole sauce. Everything including the service was quite pleasant. Would absolutely return when in the area.
Lots of local flavor here & I enjoyed every single bite! A little pricey but Im not a big fan of cheap seafood anyway, as it’s a sign you’re being served frozen crap. My Eggplant Orleans, which is usually served in fine dining restaurants, was perfection. Had charbroiled and oysters rockefeller both were delicious. Ordered other items that were equally enjoyed. Loved the Creole flavor (which is familiar to our area.) Nice, clean atmosphere w/ a casual feel. Great service too! I will be back!
The service is great and outstanding NOLA food. This is a much needed addition to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Great location and housed in the old Hooters building. Wish them the best of luck and business!
