This place is an old favorite. They serve a variety of fresh fish specials and it is always delicious. I enjoy the sheepshead and tripletail. Everything on the menu is great, though. When I’m in Hattiesburg, I always stop here.

I decided to stop in for supper because I like the atmosphere. The old dark wood in the restaurant and a bar a cozy. I decided to eat light so I got a dozen raw oysters. They were good and the time to get them short. The person shucking knew how to do it, no shells and they came out of the shell easy. I added a cup of seafood gumbo and it was outstanding, just enough spice. I may get a bowl on my next trip. I had three Miller Lites which were served at the bar where I ate. I probably should have tried one of their many beer on tap. This is good classic old restaurant which always has good service and food.

I have a lot of favorite restaurants in MS, and Crescent City Grill is in the top 5 on that list of places to indulge. The gumbo ya-ya was savory and spicy, great as always. My taste for fish was certainly satisfied with the Catfish Plaquemine (catfish topped with shrimp, tasso, mushrooms, green onions in a creole cream sauce, served with dirty rice)!! Need I say anything else? A wonderful meal and great experience. Will absolutely be returning next time I’m in Hub City.

Crescent City is a Hattiesburg staple. The creole/ New Orleans style of the menu is one of a kind for a restaurant this far from the coast. I’ve been dining here for over 10 years and the consistency of excellence in the food is what’s amazing. It’s simply always a great meal. It does get crowed very quickly due to its high demand so plan wisely if you’re from out of town. We rarely have to wait for a table but when we do, we gladly wait b/c the quality of the meal is worth it.

I took a customer there Monday night for dinner and was very impressed with the food and the service. Love the New Orleans atmosphere. I will be back!!

Had lunch here today, fish of the day, Mahi, blackened sandwich. It was amazing!! Service was super fast and friendly. Will certainly come back again.

Sooooo disappointed. Normally one ofour faves but the last couple of visits have been consistently mediocre. Today during CrabFest we got the Crab and Avocado Salad, the Crab Melt and the Shrimp Poboy. To begin with the menu condition was atrocious and I sat in a chair with mangled upholstery. The menu was torn and extremely worn, it kept snagging my fingers.I felt like I was in a ‘greasy spoon’. The Crab and Avocado Salad was great, perfect for a steamy Southern day. The Crab Melt was just sad, no words. The Shrimp Poboy was the big disappointment; no more real Poboy bread. They have changed their bread making it a gummy mess, and the shrimp were over cooked and MIA. No more over-stuffed poboys.’
