The Poboys are always awesome. And the Crawfish, at the height of the season are great. Boiled shrimp not so much, overcooked. The staff is pleasant but look like they just crawled out of bed. The seating is slim bc there is a seafood market as well. It’s not very clean-tables never cleaned after customers. Be prepared to clean your own table. The set up is very awkward-getting to counter to order can be tricky during lunch rush.

Customer service ruins it all!!!. Food is ok…blandly seasoned…fries taste like they’re fried in same grease as fish and everything else. Customer service is beyond horrible, girl at front talks with attitude when taking order, over phone and in person, just horrible unwelcoming service from placing my order over the phone to receiving it
Good food, we usually get a poboy and some boiled seafood and always dine in. HOWEVER, when we bought the boiled, we were told it would be $1.00 more PER POUND to dine in. Mind you, we were already dining in for the poboy, and we already bus our own table. We told them to FORGET it. We’ll just eat our poboy. Doubt we will EVER be back or recommend to anyone. And there is no sign or indication of the extra price. Guy checking us out would not have known, except we told him we didn’t need the extra plastic bag. Bad move E and L.

Depends on what I wanna eat. Alas I wish I liked things like red beans and rice and cajun/creole seasoning but I just won’t – I like to purchase fresh unfrozen fish to cook for myself at home – coconut oil, lemon/or white wine, capers and lots of fresh kerry gold buttah – most of the fresh fish I buy at Southern Seafood and I love her catfish, po-boys — for me I combine prawns and oyster and I usually bring home some crab (excellent prices – lots less expensive than E&L — and I’m often taking home cooked catfish plate — even SS’s fried chicken is amazing and don’t forget to get gas up the block – their gas is always cheaper than anyone else :)I sure wish I liked cajun/creole seasonings — I just don’t like either and I’m not about to eat crawfish – for me – overrated for a wee bit of food – and if the shrimp/prawns are not deveined -nah I’d hand them right back to them – I don’t eat shrimp/prawn poo
Killer red beans and best hush puppies I’ve ever had! $ 6.00 lunch with plenty of red beans for left overs.
