Great Snow Crab!. Took our daughter here for getting all A’s on her report card because she wanted snow crab for dinner. It’s closer than the IP Buffet ‘ s spiced snow crab and Red Lobster tends to overcook theirs with crab meat sticking to the shell and remembered someone in lone at Starbucks talking about Beach Blvd Royal Reds & Snow Crab. It was great! Our waitress was attentive and kind to our 8 & 3 yr old, crab was perfect with easy cracking shells and removable intact pieces of sweet succulent crab meat! Going again for a birthday dinner this week!

LATEX ALLERGY BEWARE. As my husband and I get excited about going to steamers for the first time, we walk in as they open for the evening. We are seated immediately but then it takes some time for an attendant to appear. We finally order or drinks (sweet tea and lemonade, then outcome the rolls. We had heard so much about them so we were excited to try them. I must say, they tasted like raw garlic pizza dough, and the tea tasted sour then I noticed the staff wearing gloves. My husband asked if the kitchen staff wore LATEX gloves bc I am severely allergic to latex, she said she didn’t know. 15 minutes later, we still had no answer so my husband went to find out for himself. Come to find out, all the cooks wear gloves, which I understand, but they cldnt tell us which cooks wore what kind of gloves. Very scary for someone who is deadly allergic to latex but it didn’t seem to bother any of them as if it was no big deal. We promptly left never to return. Just thought I should put that out there…..

Royal Red Shrimp. Steamed and seasoned perfect.29 Dec, 2014Pleasant surprise. Having read some of reviews and being a fan of jourdan river steamer did not have high hopes. Went in August. Best raw oysters have had in years. Good gumbo. Not as good as Darwells but good. Steamed platter was really good. Not as good as old jourdan river but still good. Pricey of course. Better than red sky. Royal reds were awesome. Better royal reds than half shell who also have good ones. Want to not break the bank then go for an appetizer and royal reds. Very nice!

Save your money & time by going somewhere else. The waiter didn’t really know the menu and you couldn’t hear a word he said even after you asked him to repeat it. The service was e-x-t-r-e-m-el-y slow. Took over an hour to get our entre’. Ordered the special casserole dish and it didn’t come out with the other meals. Finally came after everyone else was finished eating. Took one bite and it was terrible. Sent it back and eneded up eating leftover shrimp from daughters plate. Manager offered to bring something else but I didn’t have another hour to wait for meal. Won’t go back and would never recommend it to friend or enemy.

Love this place. The lobster was great. The royal red shrimp were terrific too. Try the corn chowder. Service was excellent. And the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back.
