Gulfport Worker. First time to Caf Climb! Excellent!!! Will return again and again! The people were friendly and helpful. The food was awesome… I love the idea of helping young folks get a new start.. Love the program.. I had the Roast Beef! YUM!.. Will go back and try the Shrimp & Corn Creole… You have got to give it a try! 2 thumbs up!!!
Great Food, even better cause!. I love the idea that this place is to give life skills to troubled youth. What I wasn’t prepared for was how effective and efficient these kids were. The service was fast & pleasant (better than I have gotten from many adults at your everyday restaurants) and the food!!! I am a picky eater but I stuffed myself the food was so good! Even the sides were perfection. Nice atmosphere too. A place I could go back to again and again! Great job!
Return Visit was also Good. As promised in my first review, I would return to see if their quality stood up to another round – and it did. This time started with the Shrimp & Corn Creole. This was simply amazing for the amount of shrimp in the bowl. Most times with a Corn & something soup it is – corn, corn, corn, but in this case a lot medium shrimp, fresh vegetables, and nice seasoning and a rather large portion.Followed with the California Club which was OK, but not the superhit their other fare has ben. The sour dough was a nice touch and fresh. The turkey and ham seemed to be packaged sliced rather than hand-carved and the California means avocado, but there was no slices of avocado, there appeared to be an avocado paste or mayonnaise. It was adequate. The potato salad was rather good, but not terrific. So all and all a nice follow-up to my initial experience.21 Dec, 2012Reaching the Heights. Had a terrific pot roast – Tuesdays special. Very beefy flavor and tender slices of beef. Reasonable prices and small outside dining area was very nice on a warm winter’s day. Will be back to try more menu items.
Excellent. I love the food and people. They’re running a program that’s progressive & necessary. Whether you care about that or not, the food is definitely worth the trip.
I visited Cafe Climb to support the youth who are being trained there, but what I found was a delightful Cafe located in a renovated industrial building. I’ve been there a few times and tried several of their dishes. My favorites include squash and shrimp casserole, BLT with fried green tomato and the great veggie burger. On one visit, I sat in the comfortable sofa and worked through my morning emails while I waited for my lunch. On another visit, I sat on the patio sipping my Starbucks hot chocolate.
