Decent grub. Decent bourbon shelf. Basic beer array.Ambience good but never crowded.Had 1/4 chicken dinner with collards and fried okra. 3 star good.Second trip in and might be a third.Flare Incident stout out of Jackson not listed but I found it.
Just had the smallest and toughest ribs plate ever. I ordered the four bone plate and the longest rib was about an inch and a half; other three were much shorter and with little meat. Cost $12.95, which is what we usually pay in any other BBQ joints for a half a rack. Murky Water’s half a rack is $17.95. The wife ordered a pull pork sandwich that is served with cole slaw on it so we asked that they put the slaw on the side. They charged us for that, even though the cole slaw comes with the sandwich. They also charge a dollar extra for most side items that normally come with a plate in other BBQ restaurants. While the waitress was friendly and apologetic, we didn’t go there for fellowship but for food and this was the poorest quality we’ve ever had. Save your money. Donnie G.
Everything about this place is excellent. Clean, food taste great, music awesome nothing bad to say. Wish I were a local resident.
Delicious. This place is excellent. My husband had The Klapton (brisket sandwich) and I had the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp and both were fantastic! The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned and the baked beans were good as well. Will definitely be going again!
Great food and friendly service. The food is smoked and seasoned just right. This place surpasses the Shed in taste although a small restaurant the staff is good and helpful, they have live music for those who want to stay and enjoy a few drinks and listen to good blues.
What’s not to like. Atmosphere Blues on the weekend awesome BBQ, the Coasts best kept secret.
Absolutely Fantastic!. Visited this place on Sunday with friends and the food was amazing! The ribs, pulled pork, brisket and smoked chicken were divine! The side dishes were equally as good as the ribs; we had greens, potato salad, baked beans and fried okra. The portions are very generous and prices reasonable. Good music and patio seating too, what more can you ask for? We can’t wait to go back to this gem!
