I had a great experience with orchid Indian cuisine. If you are foodie, you will get real taste and I felt my mind got full after having the lunch. Lot of varieties in veg, non veg and specially fish.
What a gem of a place!!! Wasn’t sure what to expect as I had the misconception that Indian food had a lot of curry. The menu had so many lovely options and flavors. I enjoyed every single bite and was genuinely bummed when I forgot my to-go box. I can not wait to go back. Sweet little place. Highly recommend!
OVERALL – Great food, excellent dining area, super professional/friendly wait staff and owners.The Orchidwas beyond anything I’d expect to find in Southern Mississippi. This hidden jewel of a restaurant not only has a excellent dining area but food to match.My wife and I werelooking for authentic Indian cuisine with some ofour favorite dishes and wewere surprised to find all we were looking for at the Orchid. The owners and wait staff are super friendly andtreated us as if wewere family. You can really tell they put their heart and souls into this place to make it a perfectculinaryexperience.If you are ever in the area visit the Orchid and see how wonderful it is for yourself.Background: I grew up eating Pakistani/Indian cuisine in many areas around the USA. Orchid is now on the top of my list of best home cooked Indian favorites.
My new favorite restaurant!! Love the food.. mild or spicy it is so flavorful. I’ve eaten here st lunch and the buffet is amazing. Here tonight for dinner off the menu and it is just as spectacular.
Excellent food, service, and value. The owners remember us by name and are cautious about Sandy’s food allergies. I give this place a strong recommendation.
Delicious Indian food!. If you’ve not tried Indian food, definitely try out Orchid. Just tried the buffet and it was a new food experience for me. Foods taste different than what you may expect; like the matar paneer, which I thought would be very curry-like, but tasted like a warm corn bisque. The chicken tikka masala and chicken vindaloo were excellent and spicy, and exceeded my expectations. And don’t forget to try the desserts: the rice pudding has a surprising but appealing flavor and the carrot halwa was so out of this world (I’m not big on carrots as a dessert, but this one from Orchid was sooo good!) If you’re ever in the neighborhood, give Orchid a try. It’s an experience!
Good, but be careful. Have been there several times for lunch; their lunch buffet is pretty good. Went for dinner tonight with 3 others, overall everything was good; my goat dish however only had maybe 2-3 bites of meat with it mostly being bone and fat, quite disappointed. Also no fun to find little bone shards in half my bites. A bit expensive for what you get.
