Awesome roast beef poboy!
Very Poor Boy. Whoa, this is a good tasting sandwich, but it was ruined by a not insubstantial amount of brown and wilted lettuce. Tho’ the shrimp are small, but plentiful, the breading has a nice mild spicieness and allows a good shrimp flavor to come through. The bread is dense, but soft, so it adds heft without being overly chewy. It appears they pressed the sandwich as it was rather flat and warm.However, as I am eating and the lettuce is falling out of the sandwich, I noticed quite a few pieces with a brown tinge around the edge and finally one piece that was dark brown and so dessicated it looked like paper (2 o’clock position in the photo). I picked at them to be sure it wasn’t just flecks of breading – but it was the lettuce. Too bad, this was a good sandwich otherwise.
