Great ice cream, average everything else. Excellent milkshakes. The roast beef po-boy had good bread and was pressed the way I like it, but the meat was cheap deli and the gravy came from a jar. The burgers are made with thin store bought pattis – not that good.
Best Drive In Restaurant. We stopped by this small family owned restaurant. The food was outstanding. The burger was very good along with good fries. The prices are very reasonable. I have always liked drive in diners. Brings back memories of Badeaux’s in Madisonville,LA or The Palace in Franklinton, LA. My wife got the chili cheese burger and said it reminded her of a Ward’s burger.
Best onion rings I have ever had! Really good burgers too!
Try the roastbeef poboy. Roastbeef poboy gravy on the side add cheese if you like roastbeef then you wont be disappointed!
Not as good as they say!. Dear Mr. Rebel Dip. Your charm and 50 year history will get customers to come to your door (window in your case) but your frozen burger pattie will not get me to come back. I know that times are tough and you want to controll cost as much as possable, but does it cost that much more to offer fresh ingredients? Those hockey puck burgers you are hocking sure aint what they offered back in the 60’s so don’t rest your sole selling point on the fact that you have been around so long if you aren’t going to offer the same quality of food that has gotten you here!!
Great Burgers. Ah, The Rebel Dip. They’ve been there forever. An old fashioned drive up and eat outside burger joint, the kind that used to be everywhere, but younger people don’t know even existed. They have WONDERFUL burgers that taste like burgers used to tasted in the 50’s. When they opened up like fifty or more years ago, they were right on the edge of town, now the town has built up around them.
Had a craving for a butterscotch dip cone. Apparently the good folks at Rebel Dip haven’t broken the code for dipping in butterscotch, so I got a milkshake instead, which was damn good. Next time, I’ll have to try some of the food
