Kind of upset with this place. I love love love the sushi here but it has turned me into a sushi snob. No other sushi compares! So when I try sushi elsewhere, I’m just disappointed.

My boyfriend and I constantly go to samurai! I love it! He’s traveled with his father, who is a big sushi fan, so he likes it but thinks it can be better. The last two times we’ve gone the service was terrible. We went for our anniversary and when we arrived there were a few cars outside. We were seated at 7:05 and our waitress did not appear for a few minutes. Finally, she arrived to take out order but seemed confused on how to take it. She came back at 7:30 to tell us the sushi chefs were almost done with our food. So I went to the bathroom and while I walked past, I noticed the sushi chefs were standing around talking. I returned to our table and we still did not have our food. A couple next to us was seated and ordered. Finally, at 7:50 our food was brought to us. We finished it by 8 o’clock. And the people beside us (the couple) were just getting their order…I was upset that our waitress kept disappearing and finally asked for the check. She walked towards the back and came back up as another couple came in and started talking to them and taking their order. But she went to the back an did not come back out. A woman came to our table and asked if we had received our food yet and I told her we were waiting for our waitress to bring out check. She came back with our check, we paid, and we left.
This place is mediocre at best. They charge WAY too much for what you get. I have eaten here a few times just to make sure I wasn’t being too critical. Service and atmosphere is great though. Pass this place up and drive a few miles up 49 and spend your money at Koi

Excellent Sushi. My now wife and I had our first date there. We love it. The food and the customer service is always great. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening.
