Just discovered Big Shirley’s of Diamondhead, Mississippi a while back. Good Soul Food, Down Home Cooking and seafood. I’d like to try everything on the menu but so far we have enjoyed the Southern Fried Chicken, Pork Chops and PoorBoys made with traditional French Bread. Next time I’ll try the hamburgers. We are proud to have this unique homestyle restaurant in our little town of Diamondhead.

Just visiting from New Orleans and wanted to get a meal from a restaurant that reminds me of home. Well.we found it , Big Shirley .So glad I found them. I wish they still had their New Orleans location. BBQ shrimp was right on.Fried Chicken made to order and best I’ve every had. I will be back.

Ate here with some colleagues a few days ago. We were so looking forward to trying it but sadly were disappointed. The fried chicken was way over cooked and under seasoned. The burger was just plain and nothing special for the $13 price. I will say the one thing I was impressed with were the corn cakes. I don’t think we will be back. Too many good places to spend my hard earned money at.
We first enjoyed Big Shirley’s in Ocean Springs and was elated to find them in Diamondhead. Absolutely the best sides you’ll find anywhere. Mac and cheese! Greens! All fantastic, I had ribs… Great, my wife had a fried chicken breast, great!!
