DICKEY’S BBQ. Really didn’t care for Dickey’s. Tried their pulled pork sandwich and was disappointed. The meat was dry and the sauce just didn’t belong on any kind of meat. Simply put I am a Carolina BBQ fan. NO Texas pork BBQ will ever match up to Carolina Style. WON’T be going back!
I was very skeptical when I saw Diceky’s was in the strip mall, and especially because it’s a franchise and not the original location. However, the food is actually very good. The pork is pretty good and the brisket is really good. The sides and especially the beans and fries are excellent too. I highly recommend this place.
Gulfport Dickey’s. Two of us ate lunch, rib special and brisket plate, meat was good, sides were good, the Dickey’s original sauce is very good. Sides were baked beans, coleslaw, jalapeno beans and onion tanglers. We’ll return! Oh, the free soft ice cream cones were a nice extra!
Tonight was my 1st time here and for sure will be my last! If people think this is good barbecue then they must not had real barbecue. The ribs was dried and had no sauce. There’s more bone then meat. Pulled pork hoagies was so blend. The pulled pork I had in the past would be dripping with sauce but Dickeys is dried. The ordering system doesn’t work cos, they can’t hear u and u have to repeated again again. So annoying.
Needs Help. 1st time visit to a Dickeys. Wife had the Sausage sandwich .. Polish sausage seemed a little over cooked. I had the 2 meat plate, brisket, sausage, potato salad and beans. Brisket & beans were good .. but the potato salad was surely the worst we’ve ever experienced .. taste like plaster of paris .. that recipe needs to be trashed for a real southern flavor. Slap Yo Mama’s puts Dickey’s to shame .. They all need to take a trip to Texas (Houston’s PaPa’s) to learn a little something about real bbq.
Awesome BBQ. Went to the newest Dickies in Gulfport sat night. Best BBQ I’ve put in my mouth since moving to the south 12 years ago. It was so packed there was a line waiting to put to go orders in. Next time I will order online first, and believe me there will be a next time. The onion tangles were great as was the brisket and pulled pork. Pulled pork 100 times better than The Shed, that so overlooks theirs that its like mushy baby food. Thank You Dickies
YUK. Had BBQ sand…said it came with pickle, onion… Got home was plain bread and meat. Brisket was overcooked!Wife got 3 meat plate. Chicken good. Ribs…must have got an end piece cause was so touch could NOT eat. Brisket dry dry dry.Nope.. I will go to Slap your Mamma’s at Hardy court ….>Tryed them yesterday..and they were the bomb!
